Al-Fahim Tower Architecture –
Al-Fahim Tower Architecture
Al-Fahim Tower was designed by Soma Design Associates, with notable projects like the Sears Tower in Chicago and the Freedom Tower in New York City.
Al-Fahim Tower is an Islamic architectural style building with a 'Y' shaped facade that gradually merges into one core body. It starts rising above the ground, using a spiral pattern, decreasing its cross-sectional area to allow it to reach the skyline more straight and tall. As it approaches the top, it converts into a spire, turning the 'Y' shaped facades into a larger viewing space.
The interior design of Al-Fahim Tower is by Giorgio Armani, featuring an Italian-style hotel that will occupy floors below 37. There are around 700 rooms in 45 to 108 floor levels. The higher levels contain offices and meeting spaces, with the 124th level set aside for a viewing platform (around 442 meters high) and the peak spire containing communication functions.
There is also a tower antenna included in Al-Fahim Tower that can transmit signals. This antenna has a speed of 17.5 m/s in the past, making it faster than any other previous antennas in China's Taipei 101, having a speed of 16.8 m/s previously.
